Low light underwater photography is one of the more interesting and technical disciplines. Complete knowledge of the camera, lights, and science behind photography are needed, mostly because you spend a good portion of your time trying to set up shots while avoiding running into (or being eaten by) surrounding subjects, all while wearing fifty pounds of equipment, breathing bottled air, trying to remain stable in surf, swells, and current, at several atmospheres of pressure, in an environment that can kill you in seconds. When everything comes together, though, bringing home a little bit of another world is worth all of the risk and investment to get there!
