ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) — All southbound lanes of I-275 have reopened in Pinellas County after a major crash on Saturday morning.

The crash happened at around 6:12 a.m., according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Troopers said a FedEx truck was exiting the interstate when it struck a crash attenuator on the right shoulder.

The truck driver overcorrected, veering across the ramp and hitting a concrete barrier. The impact sent a piece of the wall flying onto the southbound lanes.

FHP said the truck drove over part of the barrier wall and flipped before coming to a stop along the ramp. The driver – a 23-year-old man from Orlando – sustained minor injuries in the crash.

All southbound lanes were closed at Ulmerton Road near St. Petersburg. Traffic was diverted at 4th Street North until the lanes reopened at 9:11 a.m.
