I have had this 1962 CK 14755 for a only a couple of weeks and this is the Seamaster 300 which completes my small journey into the niche of the straight lug variant, of which there are three, the CK 2913, the CK 14755 and the 165.014.
A week or two ago I was asking whether it
would be possible to temporarily swap the bezel from a 165.014 with a CK
14755, well the answer is yes.
The watch has just yesterday had a new crown, crystal and gaskets and the bezel from my 165.014 fitted, while the original is away for restoration.
It also passed its waterproof test to 10bar although, I must add, I don't foresee diving with this one!
Although almost identical to the CK 2913 there are subtle differences to be found with the hands and bezel which give it its own identity. Fitted with an 18mm Omega shark mesh bracelet from the late 60's which although not quite period correct, makes a nice alternative to the standard flat link bracelet.
I will be getting them all together for the obligatory group shot, but as I would like to get my DSLR out for that here is a poor smart phone shot of the 14755, left and 2913 right.
Regards
Chris
