[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an amazing bag. It fits me so well, I'm 6'4" and 300lbs. It also fits my 14" HP laptop perfectly. Of course there's room to spare, but I can fit my charging cable right beside it! And it has a TON of storage! It opens up even larger and I can shove one of my huge hoodies in there in case the weather turns cold amd I'm off. Also have a massive power bank in there as well! And there's plenty of room for other things I may need for a day out in the world!

Best Laptop Bag I've ever owned!

A nice stylish daypack, with plenty of room for all your gear. This one fits my 15" laptop and my smaller laptop, plus a tablet and notebooks, withut being stuffed. (it is, however, heavy)  Not too many zippers and pockets, just right.

A great bag for the money.

Purchased as a gift. Appears to be good quality. The expandable feature is nice; keeps the pack trim if you don't need extra space, but the space is there if you need it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a graduate student and have been using an old backpack that might as well be a bottomless pit. I normally have a bit of stuff with me (laptop, notebook, lunch, snacks, exercise clothes), so I need a pack that can handle it all. I have been wanting to upgrade to a backpack with more organization and this Targus backpack is amazing! The laptop pocket fits my 15" computer perfectly. There is also a separate shoe pocket, which I love to keep my running shoes away from the rest of my stuff. I feel like there is a spot for everything in this pack, and I can get so much in it without it being large and bulky. The design is also very thoughtful. There are "velcro stoppers" called safe ports to prevent the zippers from being pulled down from behind unbeknownst to you--great safety feature when on public transit or in crowds. The shoulder straps are comfortable and there is an added chest strap for additional support. Overall, it feels sturdy and of good construction. I feel more professional and love the upgrade from my old backpack!

Finally Adulting

Got this as a Christmas gift for my husband who rides his bike to and from work and he absolutely loves it. Recently used it to travel as well and he kept saying how easy it is to travel with a backpack like that because of all the dedicated compartments.

Great backpack

I spent weeks, and I mean WEEKS, searching for the perfect backpack that does dual duty as a daily carry and all-in-one bag for tightly packed 2-5 day trips.  One bag that has all these features:

1) Separation of dirty shoes/clothes and clean items (using a shared compartment - same amount of stuff and room, just transferring clean items to dirty storage after use)
2) A floated laptop compartment that keeps your computer from impacting the ground every time it's set down
3) Plenty of easily accessed small pocket storage for the infinite amount of little things that usually clog up our pockets
4) Sleek look and design for comfortable carrying while riding motorcycle, and fitting in over head compartments
5) Clamshell opening option for suitcase style packing
6) Expandable to accommodate a weeks worth of stuff.  
7) Functional bottle holder(s)
8) Comfortable shoulder straps + extra support for "over" packed carry

This bag has all that easily! The water bottle holders are amazingly elastic and strong. I want a belt made out of this stuff. And the small pockets are perfect. I actually forget how much stuff I have in the the top outer pocket because of how cleanly the pocket was designed. Deceptive amount of storage, especially when the zipper is expanded to its full 32L capacity. 

Really, my only complaints are trivial: the inner organizing pockets could be extend lower into the bag to accommodate full sized notebooks and larger devices, and could be moved up towards the top of the bag for easier access + more storage space.  Also, the zippers are on the small size.  They seem high quality and plenty strong, but I feel that that will be the first fail point on this bag, years down the line. 

All in all, you will not find this amount of quality, features, convenience, and price in any other bag.  Trust me, I looked at them all.

Targus abackpack

Great backpack for work or play.  Highly recommend this product.

Does what I need, well built. The water bottle holders are a bit shallow, and the secondary storage pouch isn't the most useful, but it's still a solid bag that's easy to fill with stuff

Solid backpack

This would be a good travel bag (and I'll probably use it for that), but as a daily bag I found it less than ideal. As others noted, using the shoe compartment robs a significant amount of space from the main storage area. There also aren't a ton of organizational features -- it's basically a laptop sleeve and a big open space. 
The padding seems adequate and it generally feels well made, just not exactly what I need.
