Pros: More storage than i really need. Haven't used the  backup software, as i have a sync program on my pc. I really like that it is so compact. And no power cord with a bulky  transformer to lug around. 

Cons: Even though it was shipped the next day. FedEX drove it around the country. Was supposed to receive it on 1/30 and finally got it on 2/5 via USPS????  I'm sure this is not your fault.

Pros: Worked right out of the box, showing the full 4.54TB capacity (in one partition) even on my Windows XP Pro (32 bit!) computer.   Price was VERY competitive (the lowest I saw anywhere).  And I looked!.

Cons: None thus far.

Other thoughts: I would recommend this to anyone for all their backups and storing of data they want to keep safe.

Seagate Expansion 5 TB USB 3.0 Desktop External Hard Drive

Pros: Requires No Software, Very compact, Very Inexpensive For 1t E, Free Sh From Buydigcom, Works like a charm

Other thoughts: I use this compact 1T external drive as I would a flash drive. I move files of all kinds from my desktop Mac to my MacBook and vice versa. I can put the drive in my pocket to take on trips with my laptop. It worked by plugging the USB cable into the computer. No extra software was required. I was asked a couple of questions, then it simply worked. Drag and drop files which load very quickly. I consider this purchase one the very smartest I've ever made in my life considering the price and free s/h.

Seagate 1T External Hard Drive a Winner!

Pros: 4 TB is a lot of space for backing up everything I need

Cons: It's a little large, heavy and noisy, but if you aren't using it as a portable, no worries - then it's quite small.

Other thoughts: It's relatively new, but am hoping it will be a reliable back up for years to come.

Huge backup space

Pros: Using the 2TB drive as a Time Machine Backup. Plugged it in, let my Mac format it, and it works like a charm.

Cons: Mini-USB port cable is a tad too small.

Other thoughts: Fast order fulfillment made buying this bargain-priced hard drive a pleasure.

Lots of space in a small package

I bought this drive a few days ago for my movie and music, am very impressed with which the transfer rate so far I have used about 200 GB and I have yet to make a dent. I went to a Walmart and get it even lower then the price here, yes I would recommend to friends you would not be disappointed
