MT7711 is designed for use on Xfinity Wi-Fi with phone lines. On the advice of the Xfinity associate at the Xfinity store, I took in my Xfinity modem and the new Motorola modem to make certain it was compatible.  They also took care of deregistering the Xfinity modem and registering the new modem to my account.  When I got it home, I reattached all of the wires. I did have to call the Xfinity help desk to have a signal sent to activate the modem. Make sure you get the phone lines working while you have them on the phone. The new modem seems faster and seems to have a greater range. No problems since installation.

Easy to set up,plugged telephone line into back had voice instantly,The whole time was less than 20 minutes----I know some reviews people had a hard time,but I am 76 and it was a breeze--now saving $15 rental from Xfinity

The modem was an easy setup and the speed is great!

Easy Setup %26 Fast Modem

Wasn't too difficult to install, but my printer didn't connect initially without going into the printer set-up to get it to work.  Once I installed the modem, I had to unplug and "reboot" once, then everything worked well.  My only issue is it "chatters" through the computer speakers, even at minimum volume.  Turning off the speakers keeps it quiet.

This useless product doesn't connect to the systems at home… pls be aware is totally useless and the company is useless too because when you call them they have over a 100 numbers and they keep telling you to call different numbers. I regret it

Very very bad buy!!!

This unit had to be reset by my provider more than 10 times within the first four days after install, every time it also needed to be reset it lost it's client list and reserved IP address list. I gave up and returned it. This particular unit was no good and Motorola's customer service was the worst I have ever encountered.
