This submersible trailer light is DOT compliant (FMVSS 108/CMVSS) across the USA and Canada. It includes a grommet and a industry standard 3-prong plug to connect power to the light. The life of a LED light far exceeds traditional incandescent lights and draws significantly less power than traditional bulbs. The polycarbonate lens and resin housing are sonic welded/sealed to prevent moisture and corrosion (submersible). The oval light will work in under 80&quot; and over 80&quot; trailers - with the appropriate additional lighting required in FMVSS 108 and CMVSS standards. Pig-tails only - no full wiring harness - this item is typically used to replace an existing oval light on a trailer. Instructions are included for quick and easy installation. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:1. Disconnect vehicle battery2. Use template on reverse side to cut opening in the mounting surface3. Push rubber grommet into opening. Model# C561RTM . . . I BOUGHT ONE RECENTLY & LOST MY DIAGRAM

Usually on the newer trucks there&#39;s a plug located near the driver&#39;s side tail lights that allows you to plug in a trailer plug. this is a good place to connect the wiring. No telling on the color code, so just use a test light to see which wire is which. the white wire on the light is the ground, the black is the running lights, and the red is the turn/brake wire. both blacks and whites can be hooked together at the headache rack, since they will both go to the same place, but each red wire is different (left, or right). that means you need to run four wires to the trailer plug, left, right, running, and ground. good luck!

No, each lamp is designed for a specific voltage. If your installation is 6V you must look for a 6V lamp.

Does this work for 6 volt as well as 12 volt?

Ease Of Installation

These LED trailer lights are so nice and bright. Worth purchasing and replacing all original lights that were there. Easy to install. Over all I am very happy.

Worked as expected. Had the same hookup as my existing so it was super easy to install. It is nice and bright.

Good quality

Solid construction, high visibility with strong light. Good pattern for tail light, turn and stop.
Will by one more to replace the other side of the trailer.
Note: there are different brands with same specs but I noticed the lighting pattern are not the same (not talking about the led quantity but the way they lite the combination of tail / stop or tail / turn.)

Excelent Product

Quick shipping, quick retrieval by the clerk, well packaged with ALL of the parts. Bright and a low electrical load. Only one demerit, NO reflecting lens on them. Beyond that, another fine Chinese product.

On sale and as advertised

I bought these to replace the original tail lights on my motorhome. the visibility is great, and they take less than a tenth of the power. I mounted two of them up high in the rear corners, in place of the clearance lights. The dimmer of the two settings is perfect for clearance lights. I connected the brighter setting to the turn signals / brake lights. From behind, they are easily visible above my trailer, and should help the drivers behind me see what's going on. Cutting the holes for them (in fiberglass) was a little bit of a pain in the, but I found that if you drill two properly spaced holes with the right size hole-saw, all you have to do is saw out the piece between them. They perform so well that I'm planning to get some of them for my trailer next!

LED taillight for trailer

Bought these for a homebuilt trailer I'm completing and wanted something that was protected better than bolt on lights. These provided the clearances and an amazing amount of bright light that I like on my trailers! I had the holes professionally cut but I was able to install these myself with the instructions provided in the packaging. The rubber grommets fit great.
