when the alarm sounds, does the slot open up to reveal meds, and ..how long does the patient have before the slot closes for the day

I purchased this for my 89 yr old mother with moderate dementia.   Previously she would forget her meds or take them too often.   This has worked great in helping remember when to take her meds.   Even with her having some hearing loss, she can hear the alarm from the other room.

I purchased this April 24, 2018. It's currently July 13, 2018 and the key latch has broken off this dispenser so it will not longer lock. Very poor quality if you need it to be secure for someone who forgets to take their medication correctly.

Purchased for my mother.  After looking at it we decided to return it because we thought my mother would break it easy
