The Roxborough United U12 Fury ended their season by edging the Langhorne-Neshaminy Crusaders 3-2. The Fury finished the season in 2nd place in the highly competitive Inter County Soccer League. Many of the girls have been playing together since their U8 days and have formed a lasting bond with each other.
High scoring Avery Cross netted two goals to lead the Fury with Tori O’Brien chipping in one. Jules Rex was outstanding in net ,limiting the potent L-N offense to 2 goals (by Riley McCafferty) and turning away shot after shot down the stretch.
Coach Mike Rex and his top notch assistants Kim Wawrzynek and Mike Risi, have watched the young ladies grow from neophytes to an experienced group of skilled players with bright futures ahead of them.
Rounding out the squad are Ava Casino, Aryelah Bittle, Skylar Wawrzynek. Clara Giffear,
Mica Risi, Ella Samarco, Maggie Grier, Lorelei Agner, Gianna Jaquinto, Jocelyn Loughlin, Adele Wright, and Eden Siorek.
