Looks like some more snow and maybe freezing rain for the next couple of days so I started the van and let it get good and warm this afternoon. I started to take it for a drive around the neighborhood but quickly pulled back in the driveway after doing some great one wheel peels on the still quite icy street. Something something discretion and valor... Laughing

These were driveway shots. just like a previous photo I posted last year. I love how the RMW grill guard looks. I love driving the syncro in the snow and using it as a "ski chalet". We leave early morning to get a spot in the locals lot, cook breakfast, drink coffee and boot up when everyone else is booting up outside!

Hopefully, I'll get some after tomorrow's "big storm"

Vans need to be either kept inside or driven regularly here in the Leavenworth, otherwise this happens pretty quickly.

Shouldn't this photo be listed under "New hightop ideas"?

Jealous of ya'll driving around in the snow! Brings back some great memories of driving mine around in the snow out west, and in NE.

Mostly though, those memories are replaced by hours and hours of rust and corrosion repair!

Unfortunately I forgot to take more pics of my vanagon in the snow..

Anyways, I took the vanagon snowboarding for the first time!
The local ski resort received like 4-6 inches of snow last night, so the roads required chains (unless you had a 4x4). Luckily, I had purchased a cheap pair of cables that fit my 185 85 14 tires perfectly! The van handled great in the snow! Slow and steady. Always makes me laugh when some arrogant 4x4 lifted truck passes me only for me to pass them back up when theyre stuck in the snow bank on the side of the road. But yeah, the van handled better than any other vehicle I’ve ever drove in the snow and it was such a nice convenience having the space to change in and a warm spot to eat lunch. What a luxury haha!

Last season in VT. Didn’t make it up for the first dump this year and it has been doing nothing but pissing warm on the east coast since - depressing!

Heading home in N. Idaho. After many years resisting gravity that tree fell during yesterday's snow. Sad
