The HP Latex R1000 Plus Creates Faster Turnarounds And New Levels Of Versatility For Georgia PSP

Marietta, Georgia, June 19, 2023 – Leading signage and digital print service provider Minuteman Press Marietta (MMP) has installed an HP Latex R1000 Plus to meet shorter lead times and serve growing demand for volume signs.

With a need for greater versatility to meet customer requests, and to cater for quick and efficient turnaround times, MMP chose HP for its flexibility and sustainable Latex ink technology.
Judith Danny, Owner at MMP, said: “We chose the HP Latex R1000 Plus because we wanted to simplify our sign production while continuing to expand our offer in digital printing. The HP Latex R1000 Plus is a hybrid press so it handles rigid and roll materials well, which allows us to consolidate applications on a single printer.”
With the installation of the HP Latex R1000 Plus, MMP has reduced turnaround times, resulting in additional capacity which MMP is using to fulfill current demand levels.
The HP Latex R1000 Plus offers improved flexibility and access to new applications, helping to avoid costly operating errors with an easy interface.
As well as this, HP’s Latex inks remove the need for drying time, resulting in significant time savings, and reductions in labor costs.
“We can now print volume signs at a lower cost, with a quicker turnaround time, by eliminating vinyl mounting which also means we have more production capacity,” added Danny.
HP Latex White Ink is the whitest white on the market and has opened a new world of applications for MMP, allowing the print service provider to stay competitive whilst keeping sustainability at the forefront of its production.
The HP Latex R1000 series runs on the fourth generation of HP Latex ink, which consists of up to 65% water and is designed to avoid the hazards associated with eco-solvent and UV inks.
Furthermore, the Latex portfolio uses carton-based cartridges – made predominantly from cardboard, these new types of cartridges are compatible with all of HP’s Latex devices, reducing plastic usage by 80% and carbon emissions by 60%.
