Hello everyone! i've ran into some kind of problem which i cant figure it out myself - so maybe anyone has any idea about it . I got Asus rog strix rx580 T8G Gaming gpu
History of gpu:
I got it working from a miner, he said it had mining bios installed
i've connected to a pc - gives image, working. in device manager shows rx 580 series
after that i downloaded atiflash (i think it was v.3.2 or something, exe file) , and flashed bios of the exact same card from this forum database ( https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/191456/asus-rx580-8192-170301 )
it installed it without errors, was saying restart ur pc in order to take effect or something like this. i Pressed yes restart now. After PC restarted , GPU doesnt give image anymore. Fans spins, Lights comes up, just gives no image. (pc was working fine with another card)
This day :
I tried to connect it to the testbench pc, connected 1050ti to have an image, and rx 580 to see if pc recognize it. (fresh testbench pc, fresh windows 10 pro installed ) PC boots up, works fine, It recognizes both GPU in device manager. (visible in the pictures). Still, rx 580 gives no image. I tried all the possible bios files from this forum for this card ( https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios...sion=&interface=&memType=&memSize=8192&since= ) - when trying to install it , it says Subsystem ID missmatch. When im trying to install the current bios which is in there (from the link above) , obviously it says this bios is installed. Installed afterburner - and it doesnt show any data of it/or lets to adjust. And im kind of stuck at this point. i know gpu was working/giving image previously. Too bad i didnt take screenshot of gpuZ of previous vbios (but i thought, that i wont need it since it is minig bios (according to the previous owner). I would appreciate all the answers/suggestions. Attaching the pictures of this case, to have better clue. (sorry for taking them with phone)

Maybe you got a bad card.
Did you delete the old working BIOS?
You need to use a BIOS that supports your (samsung?)vram - all asus rx580 are not the same.

Well from your description of the flashing process, you flashed the wrong BIOS...i presume.
So based on the fact you flashed the card already, we can assume that the card ID is no longer correct.
So the picture from GPU-z main screen actually shows an incorrect ID.
In order to narrow the search for a BIOS we need the following pictures made from the open card:
- closeup picture with memory chips using a good light source and macro
- same procedure but this time we need GPU

In case you saved the old mining BIOS please upload it here...i would like to open it and check for card ID

I attached pictures of the memory and gpu itself. seems that memory is Micron modules?. On the gpu itself there is no inscriptions or anything, just on the metal bracket itself. (see pictures below)
Unfortunately, i didnt saved old bios, because i thought i wont need mining bios for sure + on the the forum there was only one bios for this card with exact same name (

ROG-STRIX-RX580-O8G-GAMING)

- , what could go wrong lol
but before flashing to this bios, im 99% sure when i checked on gpu-z, the bios version numbers were exactly same as i have now, (015.050.000.001.000000), and i was a little bit confused how come it is exact same bios version in mining card , and original bios from forum. Too bad i dont remember anything else from prior gpu-z screen, just that i looked to bios version, and it was exactly same as bios file in forum.
I dont think so its a bad card because as i said it was giving image before flashing, and both pc bios and pc manager finds this gpu connected. Ofc it could be that it just gave up and stopped working, right after (wrong?) bios i installed, tho its very unlikely i guess
Hope this helps, and see you around

UPDATE
I just looked for similar card with micron memory bios, found this : https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/196865/asus-rx580-8192-170414

just did update, it updated successfully, rebooted , and it works! Giving image, gpu-z shows micron memory, now launched furumark , and going to stresstest it , and see if it works. For now, it seems that everything is ok. Thank you for all your answers and patience , i have hope that this will work fine!

I might still have the BIOS somewhere stored if that would help.

We are glad that you did it.
If you do not have a fully functional BIOS here you have another one :

Just for info - the BIOS you attached earlier is with Hynix mems.
What i put here is with Micron.

But, we are glad that you made it!
Cheers
