La Comida Latina - BuzzFeed Videos

This lesson incorporates multiple BuzzFeed videos and one Fung Bros Food video to show Latino Food. It starts with a video of Mexicans trying Taco Bell for the first time and makes its way through more Mexican food to Puerto Rican and Peruvian foods. It ends with Latinos trying other Latinos' foods. Links to the videos are included on the PPT (both a PPT and PDF are included) as the file with MP4s was too large. Video play time is approximately 22 minutes.

The assignment has students make predictions about what they will see in each video and then has questions related to the content/their opinions. It ends with them having to compare their original predictions to what they actually saw.

Please note that BuzzFeed videos are not usually meant for educational purposes, therefore the content can be silly. All videos are clean with the exception of "Americans Try Mexican Snacks," which has the word "BADA$$" in it, so please feel free to omit that from your playlist if preferred.
