BUZZ ALDRIN'S FLIGHT CREW G&N DICTIONARY—USED BY HIM DURING TRAINING FOR APOLLO 11
This Flight Crew G&N Dictionary provides remedial details on both the Primary Guidance and Navigation System (PGNS) and the Abort Guidance System (AGS), as well as ways to realign the Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) if the computer lost the state vector (position and direction of the spacecraft in space). It provides star charts, the star list, list of "verbs" (action instructions to the Apollo Guidance Computer (ACG)) and "nouns" (data that results from the actions of the verbs, such as, "How are we?"). The book also provides a key to all the programs that would be used during the entire mission. The book gives a review of the AGS program in the Lunar Module and Data Entry and Display Assembly (DEDA) unit that the Lunar Module Pilot would use to operate the AGS system in the event of a failure of the PGNS.
