HDAC7 Antibody (A-7) is an IgG2a κ mouse monoclonal HDAC7 antibody (also designated Histone Deacetylase 7 antibody) that detects the HDAC7 protein of human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA. HDAC7 Antibody (A-7) is available as both the non-conjugated anti-HDAC7 antibody form, as well as multiple conjugated forms of anti-HDAC7 antibody, including agarose, HRP, PE, FITC and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. In the intact cell, DNA closely associates with histones and other nuclear proteins to form chromatin. The remodeling of chromatin is believed to be a critical component of transcriptional regulation and a major source of this remodeling is brought about by the acetylation of nucleosomal histones. Acetylation of lysine residues in the amino terminal tail domain of histone results in an allosteric change in the nucleosomal conformation and an increased accessibility to transcription factors by DNA. Conversely, the deacetylation of histones is associated with transcriptional silencing. Several mammalian proteins have been identified as nuclear histone acetylases, including GCN5, PCAF (p300/CBP-associated factor), p300/CBP, HAT1, and the TFIID subunit TAF II p250. Mammalian HDAC7 is a histone deacetylase that interacts with the adaptor mSin3A. The interaction of HDAC7 with mSin3A suggests the association of multiple repression complexes of transcription factors.

Can the TransCruz reagent sc-74563 X be used in applications other than ChIP?

Thank you for your question. Yes, the X form of the antibody can be used for any listed application. The dilution just needs to be changed as it is ten times as concentrated as the standard antibody.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from also detected another smaller size bandUsing human blood monocyte derived macrophages, we could detect a faint band at right size. 25 ug total cell lysate per lane, 1:500 1Ab dilution in milk, 2nd Ab 1:4000 CST anti-mouse, 10 min exposure. Also there is a slightly stronger band at size <25kda.
