Bredl’s Python is also known as the Centralian Carpet Python. The species occupies rocky outcroppings and ridges, but is arboreal in woodlands, shrubs and trees.

Adapted Activity Budget

This python is nocturnal during summer months and diurnal during spring and autumn when evening temperatures get too low.

Diet

Bredl’s Python hunts tree-dwelling birds, marsupials like wallabies and possums, and on occasion consumes rabbits and feral domestic cats.
