Apple released the iOS 16, iPadOS 16, macOS Ventura, and watchOS 9 to the public in late 2022. These software versions brought in loads of new features for the Apple iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Watch. The company has been polishing these operating systems with smaller updates.

These versions come with fixes for bugs and security vulnerabilities along with some new features that could not be shipped in the earlier versions. Apple has been testing iOS 16.3, iPadOS 16.3, macOS Ventura 13.2, and watchOS 9.3 for several weeks and now these versions are available to the public worldwide. Let’s see what each of these operating systems brings to their respective Apple products.

Apple iOS 16.3

Out of all the new operating systems in Apple’s arsenal, iOS 16.3 brings the most to the table. The new software comes with Unity wallpaper, which basically adds more default wallpaper to the iPhone. It also adds FIDO security key support for Apple ID that allows users to strengthen their account with a physical security key as part of the two-factor authentication sign-in process on new devices.

The iOS 16.3 adds support for HomePod (2nd generation) that was launched last week. It prevents inadvertent emergency calls. It requires users to hold the side button with the up or down volume button and then releasing it to place an Emergency SOS call. The iOS 16.3 brings fixes some issues found in Freeform, Lock Screen, and Siri.

iPadOS 16.3

The iPadOS 16.3 does not bring many changes. The changelog of the new OS version includes the addition of FIDO security keys for Apple ID, support for HomePod (2nd generation), and fixes in Freeform where some drawing strokes created with Apple Pencil or finger may not appear on shared boards. It also fixes an issue where Siri may not respond properly to music requests.

macOS Ventura 13.2

The macOS Ventura 13.2 also carries little to no change, just like the new iPadOS. The new macOS adds the FIDO security key, fixes the Freeform drawing strokes issue, and fixes an issue where VoiceOver may stop offering audio feedback while a user is typing.

watchOS 9.3

The notable change in watchOS 9.3 is the addition of the Unity Mosaic watch face. The changelog for the new version mentions some new features, improvements, and bug fixes as well.

Since iOS 16.3, iPadOS 16.3, macOS Ventura 13.2, and watchOS 9.3 are out to the public, Apple is expected to release the beta versions of the next set of updates, such as iOS 16.4, as soon as next week.
