There are two Plaza Premium Lounges at Edmonton Airport.

The first is located after security in the International/Domestic terminal, available to all except those on US Transborder flights.

The lounge is located one level above the departure’s hall across from Gate 52. If entering from Central Security into the Central Hall, turn left, and then it will be on your left again.

The lounge is spacious at 4,500 sq. ft. and has a seating capacity of 80 guests. It offers a variety of amenities including a bar (charges apply), charging station, food & beverage options, Wi-Fi, TV channels, and flight information.

One thing this lounge lacks is natural lighting, which its US Departures equivalent has in abundance.

The lounge is open from 0430-0000 hrs (Midnight 12:00 a.m.) Mon-Sun.

One-time pass

A one-time pass can be purchased from $38 USD and can be used for up to 3 hours. LoungePair offer flexible passes that can be used at any time or date, without needing to have a specific date of travel in mind.

WestJet passengers can get 20% off the walk-up price just by showing their boarding pass.

Platinum and Centurion American Express cardholders can access the lounge for free with one guest, plus any children under two years old.

Plaza Premium Lounge (US Departures)

This is the second Plaza Premium Lounge at Edmonton Airport.

It is accessible only to those booked on US Transborder flights.

The lounge is located at the very end of the Transborder terminal after Gate 88.

The US Transborder Plaza Premium lounge is two-level with views over the airport, a must for any who enjoy watching planes arrive and depart.

It has good access to natural lighting, unlike its equivalent lounge near Gate 52.

The lounge has a seating capacity of up to 75 guests and offers amenities such as a bar (with charges), charging stations, draft beer, food and beverage options, lounge bay, TV channels, vegetarian options, and Wi-Fi.

The lounge is open 0500 – 1630 daily.

Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge

The Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge at Edmonton International Airport is located after security in the International/Domestic terminal, available to all except those on US Transborder flights.

The lounge is open daily from 0430-0000.

The lounge features a faux fireplace, a view of Gates 54 and 56, a phone charging station, a business center, and a bar with standard alcoholic beverage options.

The food offerings include cold and preserved food items, such as chips, cookies, fruits, granola bars, and canned pop, with no hot food available.

The business center has multiple PC workstations and printers.

The lounge provides comfortable seats and a quiet atmosphere but has limited food options.

Access options

By membership

Air Canada Maple Leaf Club membership can get access to this lounge. If you have Canadian or North American-only Club membership, you won’t have a guest entitlement. Those with Maple Leaf Club Worldwide membership can bring in one guest.

Business Class Ticket Holders or Star Alliance Gold

Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge access is available for Business Class passengers and/or those with Star Alliance Gold status traveling on an Air Canada, Air Canada Express, Air Canada Rouge or Air Canada codeshare flight or a flight with a Star Alliance partner like United.

The lounge fee for each guest is $20 CAD/USD before 11 am and $30 CAD/USD after 11 am.

If you’re Star Alliance Gold, your first guest is free.

To gain access, you and your guests must present a valid same-day ticket or boarding pass for an eligible flight.

Premium Rouge Ticket Holders

Customers traveling in Premium Rouge can enjoy free access to the Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge on flights within Canada, to the U.S and Sun destinations. Additionally, Aeroplan Elite Status Members with the required eligibility can also enjoy complimentary access to the lounge.

Aeroplan Elite Status

Aeroplan 25K, Aeroplan 35K, Aeroplan 50K, Aeroplan 75K and Altitude Super Elite Members can enjoy access to the Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge in Edmonton.

You must be flying with Air Canada, Air Canada Express, Air Canada Rouge, or Star Alliance partner airlines, in any class of service.

You’ll also receive from two to four one-time guest passes for each year that you’re a member, depending on your status tier.

Guest use above your ordinary entitlement or use of a one-time guest pass is $20 CAD/USD before 11 am and $30 CAD/USD after 11 am.

Aeroplan 50K, Aeroplan 75K and Altitude Super Elite Members can also:

  • Access the lounge upon arrival on an Air Canada, Air Canada Rouge, or Air Canada Express flight.

  • Guest a domestic partner, up to 5 dependent children and 1 guest at no charge.

Note that Aeroplan 25K Members only receive two one-time passes per year, and once these are used, will not have access unless they are flying in Business Class or have an eligible credit card.

Beginning June 1, 2023, Aeroplan 35K Members will also no longer enjoy complimentary access to any Maple Leaf Lounges and will need to rely on their annual one-time passes for access.

The following cardholders can get access to the Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge in Edmonton, either with guest passes or on a continuing basis. You and your guests must present a valid same-day ticket or boarding pass for an eligible flight.
