CEO/CTO of ReJoule (Battery Diagnostics and Optimization). We're hiring!

Today, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE)'s DOE Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations announced that ReJoule has been selected for negotiations on a $10M award! Not only is this a MASSIVE step for ReJoule, this award will be a HUGE step in building a truly circular battery economy. So many people and partners to thank. To name just a few: Matthew Paiss and Di Wu of Pacific Northwest National Laboratory Robert Blake and Ralph Jacobson of Solar Bear MN, Sean Armstrong and Emily Higbee of Redwood Energy, Huazhen Fang of The University of Kansas, Rick Azer and Philip Fischer of Black & Veatch, Lee Barken of CollectiveSun, and the amazing team at California Energy Commission. We have a very real opportunity to create equitable clean energy access for underserved communities, and we can also establish the basis for a thriving repurposed battery industry here in the US. These next few years is going to be fun! #circulareconomy #batteryrepurposing #batterylifecycle #secondlifebatteries #longdurationenergystorage #bipartisaninfrastructurelaw

We are thrilled to announce that ReJoule has been selected for negotiation for a $10M DOE Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations award to deploy Long Duration Energy Storage (LDES)! We’re leading a project called Communities Accessing Reliable Energy Storage (CARES) that will demonstrate the technical, logistical, and economic feasibility of repurposed EV batteries. We’re building an #AmericanMade LDES industry with aged EV batteries. Most importantly, we’re exploring ways that innovative storage technology can impact communities. Big shoutout to our friends at Smartville Inc. as well for their SMART project. It’s amazing to see two Southern California companies leading the charge for battery circularity.
