2nd and 3rd attempts. In our initial ruck profiling at FirstUse, this is an area where our training and education will strongly emphasize. Story: In 1998, during a game when the great Jim Stynes was injured, he approached me at the quarter-time huddle of my first game as the leading ruckman. He straightforwardly advised, 'you're walking away from stoppages.' The message was clear and insightful. After the stoppage, keep your feet in motion, learn to jog while observing the play. Growing up, we often develop the habit of hitting and watching instead of hitting and jogging. Jogging provides momentum; walking leaves you flat-footed.
