It was a pleasure to welcome the Ambassador and Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland - Ambassador Adam Burakowski and Deputy Head of Mission Iwona Jablonowska on a site visit to the Atlantis Special Economic Zone for Green Technologies. With the phenomenal economic growth and development in Poland over the past 20 years - there is increasing interest from Polish companies looking to invest. One area specifically is in machine parts and agri-processing which fits the focus of the Atlantis SEZ. The ASEZCo partnered with ServeSA to provide a Digital Literacy Training Programme that was facilitated over an 8-month period for 20 beneficiaries. The accredited NQF Level 3 course provided learners with the necessary knowledge and skills to operate efficiently in a computerized workplace and was aimed at individuals and small business owners who have little to no experience with computers or computer programmes. Congratulations to the beneficiaries, and all the best in their future endeavors.
We had a very successful engagement with OPITO, Cape Peninsula University of Technology and STEAM learners at the Atlantis Secondary School. The aim of the engagement was to explore a collaboration with OPITO to continue with our great STEAM initiative. The learners did a great job demonstrating their robots and sharing the value of the programme. It was very engaging, with lots of interaction. The door is now open to explore a collaboration. Thanks to Atlantis Secondary School for the support provided.
