Last Friday, I had the honor to be a part of the Women in AFCEA STEMpowerment Forum, with an amazing lineup of influential and insightful speakers! As Vice Chair of WIA, I'm excited to continue this STEM-focused event into the future and grateful to have worked with such a wonderful team to execute this event. I can't believe the WIA STEMpowerment Forum is THIS WEEK! We've been looking forward to this for so long and are excited to reintroduce the event to you. I have seen posts, quotes, and such a heartfelt level of support from men and women across this #govcon industry today. And there are honestly way too many friends in this community that have had drastic impacts on my life, personally and professionally, to highlight in one post. So without listing every single person and inevitably forgetting many that have affected me, I want to say THANK YOU. Thank you for your support, your friendship, your advice, and your inclusion. This is one of my favorite parts of being involved with AFCEA International and AFCEA DC. Reviewing these applications and awarding to deserving students in STEM fields is one of the highlights of my year!
