The QNAP TS-473A NAS is a 4-bay 2.5"/3.5" NAS with a wealth of connectivity options. The TS-473A includes two 2.5 GbE ports and two PCIe Gen 3 x4 slots so you can easily deploy 5GbE / 10GbE network connectivity.

TS-473A: NAS with Ryzen V1500B and 2.5 GbE LAN
The QNAP TS-473A is a 4-bay 2.5"/3.5" NAS with a wealth of connectivity options. The TS-473A includes two 2.5 GbE ports and two PCIe Gen 3 x4 slots so you can easily deploy 5GbE / 10GbE network connectivity. Two M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD slots for Qtier technology and SSD cache allow constant storage optimisation. The TS-473A supports QTS and QuTS hero, allowing users to flexibly change operating systems according to their requirements.
This 4-bay AMD Ryzen NAS server comes with QNAP QSW-1105-5T, a 5-port 2.5G switch.
High-performance AMD Ryzen processor
The TS-473A is powered by a quad-core AMD Ryzen V1500B processor from the V1000 2.2 GHz range with up to 64 GB RAM and includes USB 3.1 ports for speeds of up to 10 Gbit/s. The TS-473A also has a USB 3.0 Type C port to support more devices for transferring large media files to other devices, giving you a more efficient workflow.
Change operating systems
The TS-473A also supports QuTS hero - QNAP's ZFS NAS operating system. Offering end-to-end data integrity, data reduction (online data deduplication, compression and compaction) and more, QuTS hero uses additional system resources to ensure an optimal environment to protect business data.
QTS and QuTS hero use file systems. You must delete all disks from the TS-473A before switching from QTS to QuTS hero.
Easy and secure file management
File Station allows direct management of files stored on the TS-473A and in the cloud. Users can easily transfer files from their PC, drag and drop files between folders, rename/delete files and set folder/file permissions to prevent unauthorised access. Microsoft Office Online can also be used to directly view/edit Microsoft Office documents stored on the TS-473A. Confidential/sensitive data can be encrypted for added security.
Install a graphics card
Graphics cards are optimised for graphics transformations and calculations, but require considerably more power than other hardware. The TS-473A includes PCIe slots to support high-profile graphics cards that do not require power cables, including NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 graphics cards to boost the performance of applications such as video editing, 4K UHD transcoding, image processing in QTS and virtual machine performance via GPU passthrough.
Build a Fibre Channel SAN environment
Standard Fibre Channel SAN devices are often expensive. By installing a QNAP 16 Gbit/s Fibre Channel card (QXP-16G2FC) in the TS-473A, you can define a Fibre Channel Target using the iSCSI & Fibre Channel app. In addition, the LUN masking and port linking features provide an extra layer of security for your data.
