The color is truly closer to violet more than purple but may not be your definition of truly violet. That said I do really like the color. The ink is solid without feathering or ghosting on the papers I’ve tried thus far. It writes well and is trouble free. Does it beat out the Pigma Microns? Not for me but neither do the Microns have this color. So they are complimentary. I would buy this/these again.

Love the outline pens, especially this purple. This brand is new to me but the tips are strong and have consistent flow of ink.
