Cox Media Group news/talk WSB/WSBB-FM (750/95.5) takes the top spot overall for 2018, leading the market in total audience for three straight years. Entercom urban AC “V-103” WVEE is No. 1 in the 25-54 money demo and Persons18-34. Cumulus Media has the top morning shows with CHR WWWQ’s “The Bert Show” leading Persons 25-54 and “Rock 100.5” WNNX’s “Bailey & Southside” the top morning show Persons 18-34.

The numbers are crunched each year by Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s Rodney Ho who reports that even with WSB down by 13% year-over-year the station remains on top of the market with an 8.2 share (6+). Cox Media Group classic hits “97.1 The River” WSRV and “V-103” are tied for second (6.5), CMG AC “B 98.5” WSB-FM is fourth (5.3) and Radio One urban AC “Majic 107.5” WAMJ is fifth (5.1).

Cumulus Media CHR “Q 99.7” is the flagship for the Westwood One-syndicated “The Bert Show,” which remains strong in its home market as the most listened to morning show for Persons 25-54 with a 7.2. The show held the same position last year but was bumped out of the top spot for Persons 18-34 by cluster-mate “Bailey & Southside” on “Rock 100.5,” who move from fourth to first with a 9.1. Bert Weiss and company are second in the 18-34 demo with a 8.0.

Frank and Wanda (WVEE) are ranked second 25-54 followed by Scott Slade (WSB), “Morning Edition” on news/talk WABE (90.1) and Steve Harvey, who airs locally on “Majic 107.5.” WVEE and WSB also appear in the upper echelon of the 18-34 morning rankings, landing at 4th and 5th, respectively. Rickey Smiley is the third most-listened to morning show in the 18-34 demo.

The Top Five ranked stations 25-54 are “V-103” (8.0), “97.1 The River” (6.3), “B 98.5” (5.9), WSB (5.4) and “Majic 107.5” (5.4). WVEE also tops the 18-34 rankings with a 7.9, Ho reports. Radio One urban contemporary “Hot 107.9” is second (7.4), followed by “Q 99.7” (6.2), iHeartMedia CHR “Power 96.1” WWPW (5.7) and “97.1 The River” (5.2).
