Franklin Flood, age 72 of Frazeyburg died Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at his daughters home. He was born on September 5,1949 in Mount Vernon, to Francis Flood and Hettie (Biggs) Miller who preceded him in death.
Franklin was a graduate of Riverview High School and went on to served honorably in the United States Army. Franklin had owned Hometown Imports and later retired from Firestone.
Franklin had his pilot license, and he enjoyed skydiving. He was on the Ski Patrol at Clear Fork. Franklin could play any instrument and in his younger years was even in a band. He had taught mechanics school at Columbus Paraprofessional Institute. Franklin enjoyed traveling and riding his motorcycle, he had even gone to Sturgis.
On December 6, 1970, Franklin married Judith, and she preceded him in death.
Left to cherish Franklin's memory are his children: Vanessa (Glen) Ryan of Mount Vernon, Franklin Flood of Glenmont, and Gina (Jay) Horn of Johnsville, six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, his siblings: Sharon Heter of Ashland, Francis (Sandy) Flood of Millwood, George (Diane) Flood of Lakewood, FL., Hedy Hart of Millwood, Duane (Diane) Flood of Auburndale, FL., and Lora Ann Moa of FL.
Friends may call on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, from 2:00PM until the start of the memorial service at 3:00 PM at the Brandon Baptist Church 13513 Sycamore Rd, Mt Vernon, Ohio 43050.
