Oh dear—is this the first sign that the 2015 Summer of Celebrity Breakups trend is carrying over into fall and winter? After two years of marriage, Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez are getting divorced, People confirms. According to their source, Martinez and Berry are splitting because the relationship had "run its course." But they're staying on good terms: "They are keeping it amicable now," the source said. "She is OK."
And TMZ is reporting that Berry is the one who filed for divorce—she cited irreconcilable differences and asked for "the best interests of the child" when it comes to custody of their two-year-old son, Maceo-Robert.
Berry and Martinez met on set together in 2010, and they welcomed their son in 2013. (The couple wed in July 2013 in Martinez's native France while Berry was pregnant with Maceo-Robert.) Berry is also the mother of seven-year-old daughter Nahla Ariela from her relationship with model Gabriel Aubry. They've been battling for custody of Nahla since their 2010 split.
Let's hope we don't get another season filled with breakups—our hearts can't handle it!
