Music Video Production

Move over, Los Angeles! Frederick is becoming the new hotspot for filming music videos thanks to a local rock band of four self-described angsty teenagers called Bad Seed Rising. The group was on site Friday at Heather Ridge School to film a video for their upcoming album, “A Place Called Home,” to be released in early May by Roadrunner Records.

The youngest band ever signed by the Atlantic Records subsidiary, the group has channeled their struggles with growing up as hard-rocking teens into the storyline of their new video, “It’s My Time.” The video tells the story of Francheska Pastor, 17, the band’s lead-singer, who fights back against adult interference with her life choices. The former Frederick High student grew tired of negative responses from teachers and family members when she would tell them of her choice to pursue a career as a singer instead of going to college, and she wanted that frustration to come through in her music.
