    Good basic phone for texting

    Wanted a phone with a keyboard and I got it. Takes decent pictures and I love the green color. Only negative is that the battery doesn't last. I left it unplugged one night and it died in the middle of the night. Plugged it in first thing next morning and it was partially charged after about 30-45 mins

    orange envy

    This phone is capable and easy to use. The front features could be better designed, though not surprising, the keyboard is large enough for quick texting. The front display is smaller than it has to be, a larger display would be considerably better. The camera is better than average and has some interesting options for pictures, like flash, self timer, color effects, 30 minutes of video much like a regular camera. Not as good as a smart phone for data and games. It's simple and fitting for some one looking for a phone that isn't a smart phone, or before you build up enough to get the best of cell phones.

    A few weird issues, but good overall

    The phone is everything I looked for (great keyboard, no dropped calls, loooooooooooooong battery life), but suffers from some bizarre design mistakes. Most simply, the phone is very quiet. If a car goes by, I miss a few words every time. I don't understand why there isn't some standard for this- how can you release a phone that would be too quiet to use at the release party? The other annoying issue is that it gives no audible alert when the battery is running low, and only about 5 minutes of blinking indicator. If, hypothetically, I was going to sleep with an alarm set, it could absolutely die overnight and let me oversleep. To it's huge credit, the 100+ hour battery life means that I can be pretty confident if I keep it more than half charged all of the time, but I'm going to ...

    Not bad, an improvement from ENV VX9800

    This phone is a step up from the LG ENV VX9800. The front buttons are more easiy accesible as well as there arrangement is much better. The qwerty pad is easier to type on as well. However, the improvement of the sliding door to cover the camera can becoming very annoying on all three of my VX9900's it became loose and would close and open basically on it's own. Kind of defeats the purpose of the door as well as makes an annoying noise. The LG ENV VX9900 is definitely a step up from vx9899 however, a better choice if your budget affords it would be The newer LG ENV 3 or LG ENV Touch.
