    Is LC421XLBK interchangeable with the LC401XL US version?
    It seems the LC401XL BK is not available anywhere in the United States. I have found compatible cartridges being sold out of China, but I do not trust the compatible versions as compared to genuine Brother products. In the past, compatible cartridges have always caused me to need to purchase a new printer after two uses.

    If the LC 421 XLBK is compatible, do you ship to US mailing addresses? Or better, do you ship to Japan mailing addresses?

    • The LC421XLBK will not work in a US originated printer, printers are regionalised, usually be continent, so the LC401XL is the one that will work in your US originated printer

    Same Printer Name But Different Ink Name
    It just seems so damn strange to have two (2) versions (US and Other(UK?)) of the MFC-J1010DW.
    Same model name/number, but requires different cartridges.

    My MFC-J1010DW requires the LC401 and LC401XL.
    But your site (UK) says the MFC-J1010DW needs the LC421 and LC421XL.

    It just does not seem right.

    But, you told me in a previous email that the 421 ink will NOT work in the US Version printer of the same name.

    • All manufacturers regionalise their printers in this way, we only sell within the UK so our 421 series cartridges will only work in EU originated printers.

An excellent product. Its best to stay with the Original supplier to avoid blockages in ink supply on your printer.
