2020 Skoda Superb Sportline in a walkaround video

Last month Skoda Auto India launched the 2020 version of its luxury sedan – the Superb – in the market. The Skoda Superb is available in two variants namely – Sportline and Laurin & Klement variants. Here we have a walkaround video of the 2020 Skoda Superb Sportline variant, showing what all is different in this version in comparison to the L&K.

The video has been uploaded by AutoTrend TV on their youtube channel. The video starts by showing a visual changes on the outside. The Sportline version as the name suggests is a much more sporty looking version of the luxury sedan. All the chrome elements that are present in the L&K version has been removed and replaced with black inserts. Starting with the front grille, it gets the signature butterfly grille in gloss black finish.

The lower part of the bumper also gets a black treatment. The headlamps, DRLs, fog lamps and turn indicators are all LED units. The side profile of the car reveals sharp lines that define the character of the car. There is even a Sportline badging on the side fender. It gets blacked out ORVMs and the alloy wheels also get 17 inch grey coloured alloy wheels. The windows also gets black inserts around them.

At the rear, the luxury saloon gets sharp and sleek looking smoked LED tail lights, black Skoda badging, bootlip spoiler, and a black strip connecting the tail lights. On the inside, the whole cabin gets a black treatment to give it a sporty appeal. In comparison to the L&K version, Sportline gets features like a fully digital instrument cluster, flat bottom steering wheel, electrically adjustable seat with memory function for both driver and co-driver.

Alcantara leather seats and ambient lighting. It misses out of features like ventilated seats and drive modes. Apart from missing out on some of the features, Sportline gets almost every feature like a panoramic sunroof, handsfree parking, three-zone climate control and so on. The difference in the 2020 version of Skoda Superb is that it is now available with a petrol engine only.

It is powered by a 2.0 litre TSI engine that replaces the older 1.8 litre unit. The new engine is BS6 compliant and generates a maximum of 190 PS of peak power and 320 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 7-speed DSG gearbox. Price for the Skoda Superb Sportline version is Rs 29.99 lakh, ex-showroom.
