BAKER CITY — A commercial truck hauling a 59-foot-long, 16-foot-high section of a wind turbine tower crashed while rounding a curve on Interstate 84 between Baker City and Ontario Wednesday morning, March 13, causing damage that closed the freeway in both directions for about 17 hours.
The crash, which didn’t result in any injuries or damage to other vehicles, happened around 9 a.m., according to an Oregon State Police report.
