Easy set up with my M1 Max, beautiful color.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've used the LG monitor for only a few weeks, but so far it has been great. I'm driving in from my MacBook Pro 2021 M1 Max laptop via Thunderbolt port. It was easy set up, beautiful color. All in all, a great buy at a great price.

Excellent monitor
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the best monitor I’ve ever own. I haven’t seen anything on the market for this price with this quality. The monitor is super bright. I have nothing negative to say about this monitor.

Great performance, resolution and port options.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I splurged during President's Day sale and got two of these beauties. I do a lot of software development and some gaming. I couldn't be more pleased with their performance. Being able to power my Mac from one monitor and daisy chain to a second with a Thunderbolt cables is awesome.

Light bleeding
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this monitor thinking it was way better than the 27" LG monitor I own. Unfortunately, it has a lot of colored bleeding in dark scenes, especially at the edges, to the point it is disturbing when watching a banded movie in the dark. It outputs a great image in an office environment with light around. It has a great uniformity when the full screen displays white but terrible uniformity when the full screen displays black. The weird thing is that it is supposed to have local diming, yet when engaged it does not do anything. I attached an image in the dark with the monitor displaying a full black screen. I'll try to replace it and see if maybe I just got a lemon. So far, I am amazed of its good rating. For the price, having so much bleeding in dark scenes is unacceptable. For that kind of money, you can purchase an LED UHD TV with far better uniformity and less bleeding in dark scenes.

works good. and as an input hub.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.good quality. it's just weird that it'll. only work consistently with the thunderbolt cable it came with to my MacBook Pro 16". I've tried using my apple thunderbolt cables, and it'll work sometimes but not consistently. so I've been using the cable it comes with. works good as a input hub to. I run my ethernet into it that then goes into my MacBook. with no slow down carding to a speed test. I don't know that I'd say its worth $1200 though.

LOVE this Monitor & Highly Recommend
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I extensively researched monitors for about a month. I was at my wit's end until I came across this model by chance. I have had it for six months and still am so happy. I almost went with a 27" screen, man am I glad I went 32"! It is sleek, chic, and classy. As a graphic designer and web developer, it has improved my workflow significantly. I have my monitor connected to my MacBook Pro. On a personal level, I use it to game - mostly with the Sims and Minecraft. The video quality is great for those things. I use this monitor every day. I have external speakers I use which sometimes aren't recognized by the system when I wake it up from being asleep. Solutions have been simple - Ex: unplugging cord, re-inputting. Openning the macbook pro from clamshell mode and closing, adjusitng the speaker input from the speaker menu bar. Annoying but overall simple. The control joystick is at the bottom of the monitor when in landscape mode. It is perfectly placed & easy to use. I haven't used the portrait position yet but I love that it swivels. The screen itself is easy to adjust based on how you are sitting or standing. It doesn't have a webcam which could have been cool but so far when I video chat I simply open my MacBook Pro and use that while using the LG monitor for regular computer functions simultaneously.

Amazing!!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This display is amazing!! I connected it to a 2019 MacBook Pro 16” and daisy chained my Dell UP2415Q as a second display. It charges at 60W, which is good enough for most of my workflows, and is really bright in a room full of windows. I really like having the display further away from me at Mac retina resolution (like 1920X1080). It’s very relaxed, super crisp for photos and text, and still has enough screen real estate! But there at lots of options to get more pixels in use with the “more space” settings as well if you need it. Works very well with an older HP laptop on W10 with display port. Plug and play on both laptops.

Good but not great
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this monitor to pair with a 16" Macbook Pro with a 2.4GHz 8‑core Intel Core i9, 16MB shared L3 cache, 32GB of onboard memory, AMD Radeon Pro 5600M with 8GB of HBM2 memory and 1TB SSD. The intent was to replace an aging 27" iMac outfitted with an auxiliary 27" HD monitor. The goal was have enough screen real estate to accommodate 3 apps opened simultaneously (Typically, MS Word, Excel and either PowerPoint or Outlook) without the need to resize each one when the second and/or third app was launched. Aesthetically, the design is reasonably attractive and pairs well with the MacBook Pro 16”. With its thin 3/8” bezels the monitor measures 28.375" wide, 16.5" high and 19.125 high when on the stand set at its lowest point. The depth of the unit as measured from the back of the stand to the front of the display is about 9”. There is little to do in assembling the unit and assembly is intuitive and is accomplished in a few minutes without tools. The key word being "intuitive", as the documentation is very sparse. Surprising, the unit comes with a CD which I presume contains the assempley instructions. At $1500 with tax and fees, one would expect the entire stand to be fabricated from metal. However, while the base of the stand is metal, the monitor support tower is plastic which, as you might expect, has significantly less structural integrity than metal. Surprisingly, the plastic tower provides reasonable stability for the large and somewhat heavy 13.7 pound unit. However, if plan to raise the monitor to its maximum height, the monitor moderately sways if knocked or it the surface on which it sits is bumped. Of course, none of this is an issue if you plan to mount the monitor on the wall. When on the stand, the display can be tilted. The picture quality is very good but at 3840 x 2160 doesn’t appear as sharp as the Retina display on the iMac. If you’re a gamer, this monitor might not be a great fit with only a 60Hz refresh rate and a 5 millisecond response time. The reason for buying the monitor was to have a large continuous space. This device gets you partially there but if you have sufficient space, you might consider LG’s 38” curved monitor which is sufficiently large to permit multiple apps to open simultaneously without having to constantly resize them. That device is more responsive at 1 millisecond and a refresh rate of 144Hz. Of course it comes in at $1600, a significant increase in price over the 31.5”. However, if you contemplated 2 27” Thuderbolt high res monitors, the 38” is less money. If the purchase doesn’t need to be made immediately, you might consider waiting to see what manufacturer’s launch at the 2021 CES next month.

Q: QuestionWill this monitor work with a PC? Does it come with cables? My graphics card is a NVIDIA RTX 2080 TI
Asked by BlueCat.
- A:Answer The LG 32'' Class UltraFine™ 4K UHD LED Monitor with Thunderbolt™ 3 (31.5'' Diagonal), Model # 32UL950-W is a RADEON FreeSync™ monitor. It is not an Nvidia tested and certified G-Sync Compatible monitor that will work with G-Sync cards. All of Nvidia's drivers since mid-January 2019 have included G-Sync support for select FreeSync monitors so even though this monitor is not a supported monitor, you can first download and install the latest driver for your GPU either from Nvidia’s website or through the GeForce Experience, Nvidia’s Windows 10 app that can tweak graphics settings on a per-game basis. You’ll probably be able to toggle G-Sync on once you install the latest driver. Whether it will work well after you do turn the feature on is another question. You may end up with problems of stability if your monitor doesn't fully support it. According to Nvidia, "For VRR monitors yet to be validated as G-SYNC Compatible, a new NVIDIA Control Panel option will enable owners to try and switch the tech on - it may work, it may work partly, or it may not work at all."...^IFV
