Hisense continues its tradition of bringing affordable televisions with the latest technologies to the masses in the U6H series. In 2021, the U6G series made Quantum Dot Wide Color Gamut more accessible to the masses. In 2022, the U6H series expands on picture quality and audio upgrades and makes the transition to the Google TV operating system. The U6H series adds HDR10+ Adaptive and Dolby Vision IQ to its already long list of supported HDR formats. These technologies incorporate environment lighting considerations to their HDR interpretations making HDR more accurate given how dark or bright the lighting within the room. Game Mode gets an upgrade to Game Mode Plus and adds variable refresh rate at 60Hz for smoother gaming on next-generation game consoles. With Wisa-ready software, the U6H is now equipped to connect to the latest Wisa-compatible speakers for a complete surround sound experience without the need for running speaker wire throughout the room. Creating even more robust audio and visual experiences without price-gouging the consumer, the 2022 U6 series continues to be the Hisense television that’s great for everyone and now features a two-year warranty..

Peak Brightness/Full Array Local Dimming Zones
The average TV is 250-350 nits. Anything over 500 nits is extremely good. This television is up-to-600 nits peak brightness across up-to-48 local dimming zones.
Dolby Vision • Dolby Atmos
Dolby Vision HDR picture and Dolby Atmos sound are cinema technology for your home. They provide amazing realism you can see and hear in every scene.
FilmMaker Mode
By disabling all post-processing (e.g. motion smoothing) and preserving the correct aspect ratios, colors and frame rates, Filmmaker Mode enables your TV to display the movie or television show’s content precisely as it was intended by the filmmaker.
Smooth Motion and 60Hz Native refresh rate
Smooth Motion removes the digital ‘noise’ that can affect moving objects. The TV’s native 60Hz refresh rate is the foundation for it’s 240 motion rate.
Game Mode Plus
All the most advanced gaming tech, all in this TV. HDMI 2.1 inputs recognize gaming sequences to automatically adjust settings for smooth, uninterrupted play. The automatic low-latency mode (ALLM), 60Hz variable refresh rate (VRR) minimize input lag, screen jitter, and frame tearing.
Dolby Vision Game
This television can support Dolby Vision for gaming at 4k 60Hz.
Voice Remote
The voice remote control makes controlling your TV easier. Open apps, turn the volume up or down, search for your favourite shows. And if the actual remote goes missing, use the buttons on the TV to activate ‘Find My Remote’
Hands Free Voice Control
Put down the remote. Change the channel, find the latest movie, stream your favorite video and more with your voice. The quicker, easier way to find whatever you want to watch.
Google Assistant
The Google Assistant is built into Google TV. Tell it to turn on the lights, change the thermostat, add stuff to your grocery list, or just play that video of your friend falling over for the millionth time. And with universal search, you can even get recommendations with Google TV.
Works with Alexa
This television works with Alexa through any of your Alexa-enabled devices. Just ask Alexa to switch the TV on or off, change channels and lots more.
Bluetooth Connectivity
Wirelessly connect Bluetooth-compatible soundbars, headphones or stereo components to your TV. This quick and convenient connection eliminates unwanted and unsightly cords while providing a secure connection to your audio source.
Metal, Bezel-less design
A unibody, bezel-less design gives this television a sleek aesthetic that won’t ‘overpower” the room with an unnecessarily large frame. The metal bezel and stand provide sturdy support for this feature-packed television.

Excellent Value Television
Excellent value at this price point (~$400). Picture quality is very solid but does degrade with off angle viewing (expected). Contrast is solid for an LED set with this level of local dimming. Best TV at this price though. Very good pickup; works great in my guest bedroom.

Solid TV at mostly reasonable price (read review)
Note: I reviewed the 55" model here, I'm not sure if larger sizes would feature a different panel or similar changes. *Great tv set, as long as you are not expecting something like an LG OLED c1/c2 etc then you should do very well with this set. *Panel - Backlight and brightness are high (not eye searing but plenty bright if you aren't in a directly sunlit room). *Gaming - In Gaming mode, the latency is between 10ms and 15ms from what I read in a professional review of this model. If you aren't familiar with the range of latency and it's effects on gaming, this is the time that it takes input from the player (pretend you push left to move Mario to the left) and the time that the TV or monitor actually displays the action. This is very important for sweaty boys playing things like sports games or Call of Duty, where you need every bit of split second reaction speed advantage you can get. Your boyfriend will probably love it. Just don't be sad if you don't see him for awhile after you get him this! *Movies/Streaming - For movies and streaming the TV is not bad. I would personally connect a PS5 or Xbox Series X/S for 4k streaming, or just use like a 4k Roku or Amazon Fire stick or similar. The interface is fine for the built in app store but I prefer to have a dedicated device for that and not use the one in the TV unless it is somehow amazing. Colors are generally good and it has decent HDR (high dynamic resolution) for content that supports it. *Overall verdict - if you can get this one for well under $500 I highly recommend it. At $500 or higher I would have a hard time recommending this over it's more expensive competitors. I saw prices for LG C1 and it was $999 or under. I would trade this for a C1 in a heartbeat, it would be like trading a Ford Focus for a Chevy Camaro. That being said it is also a very good all around use TV and has a little bit for everyone from gamers to just Netflix and Chill-ers, kids and parents and everyone between. I don't think you will be disappointed in this model.

Great for the price with minor complaints
We've had the Hisense U6H 55" for about 2 months now and so far it's been very good. The picture is exceptional for the price point though we've seen the rare artifact (picture attached) in some darker areas on the screen. Not sure what this anomaly is called but it's where a portion of the screen gets pixilated and loses detail. We've watched a lot on it to put it through it's paces and tried various settings combinations and we've only experienced it twice for a few seconds each time. For the $369 price we paid, I absolutely can't complain! My only wish is that I'd have sprung for the 65". The 55" probably fits my small living room better but I really do think the 65" would've been more immersive and impactful to watch. The sound will definitely be needing a sound bar and sub in the future. The sound is ok for the price point but a far cry from dynamic. It's a little tinny. Lastly, the viewing angle is a little narrow, even for my small room. That would be my biggest complaint. Too far off center, and the colors, especially faces, start to get washed out and if we're way off center, it's unwatchable. But in the right room relatively centered, it's a terrific viewing experience.
