Installation of new batteries:
The internal battery kits are not a difficult job to change over, some patience basic know-how and a screwdriver should be the only tools required. The first thing you need to is loosen and remove the screws from the battery door which is on the front of the UPS. Slide out the battery pack and open it up, inside you will see six individual batteries with wires attached to each. Replace these batteries with the news ones and close the battery box back up. Slide it back in about two thirds of the way, you will need to pull up slightly i order to continue pushing until the battery pack is fully inserted.
Maintenance:
These sealed lead acid batteries are classed as maintenance free but normally still require a healthy charging regime, they still need to be looked after. Thankfully if being installed into a UPS device then most of that job is taken away from you and given to the UPS, who can maintain the correct voltage far better than a human could. However as an owner of a UPS, there are some things you should do to ensure the batteries live as long as possible. Firstly, after installation, allow the batteries to rest and run without load for a while. Do not us the UPS as a desk or table and ensure plenty of ventilation.
