I put four of these in an ASUS Hyper M.2 x16 Card in HPCIe slot 3 of a 44 lane Intel i9 9720 processor. This gave me a 16 lane disk drive instead of the usual 4 lanes on the disk buss. I used the intel Virtual Raid On Cpu (VROC) feature on the Intel processor to create a RAID 0 in the BIOS giving me a full terabyte of space, but at four times the sustained transfer speed. Since this is done in the bios, I can boot from it. Windows 10 and applications all run about 3-1/2 times faster on the 16 lane PCIe bus than the usual 4 lane disk bus. Finally, the Disk sub system is no longer the bottleneck. I can now push the CPU and RAM to their limits.
