Motherboard di alttissima qualità costruttiva, come ci si aspetta da ASUS. Nella versione X299-A si ha una enorme versatilità di configurazione sia per il socket 2066 che per le innumerevoli espansioni possibili che guardano al prossimo futuro tecnologico. I led aura synch sono molto interessanti ma fortunatamente disattivabili, come tutte le schede ASUS è un prodotto che consiglio ai più esigenti e a coloro i quali vogliono mantenere una motherboard per almeno 4 anni, perchè ASUS su alcuni prodotti garantisce un'ottima flessibilità integrando tecnologie che torneranno utili anche a distanza di anni.

Ich habe das Prime X299-A seit gut 2 Monaten im Einsatz (täglich mehrere Stunden).
Das Ding funktioniert einwandfrei... bis dato konnte ich noch kein einziges Problem mit dem Board feststellen.
Die Ausstattung (Anschlüsse, Slots, etc.) ist enorm. Die (passive) M.2 Kühlung ist ein hübsches Feature, wobei es vermutlich ziemlich unnütz ist.
Die Optik ist natürlich Ansichtssache und wird von jedem anders empfunden. Die LED Dinger sind ein nettes Spielzeug, kann man aber auch irgendwo im BIOS abstellen.
Grundsätzlich kann man sagen: Main Mainboard tut genau das, was ich von ihm erwarte, ohne dass mir irgendwelche Makel oder Einschränkungen aufgefallen wären.

Etwas Verwirrung stiftete ein defekter Ram-Riegel:
Ich habe zu dem Board 4x8GB Ram dazu gekauft. Beim POST wurden nur 24GB erkannt, die Anzeige der einzelnen Ram-Riegel im BIOS hat jedoch alle 4 Riegel identifiziert. Ich konnte dann den defekten Riegel identifizieren (bischen herum stecken und ausprobieren) und nach dem Austausch der Rams waren die 32GB korrekt vorhanden. Ich will es dem Board aber nicht als negativ zuschreiben, dass es einen defekten Riegel zumindest in der Anzeige richtig erkannt hatte.

Zum Thema Übertakten:
Ich habe nur kurzfristige Versuche mit sehr geringem OC unternommen, welche allesamt tadellos funktonierten. Jedoch hab ich nie mehr als 200 MHz über den angegebenen Werten eingestellt. Damit habe ich Cinebench und ein paar kurze andere Benchmarks laufen lassen. Danach wieder alles auf Auto, außer den RAM, den hab ich manuell auf die entsprechenden XMP-Werte gestellt (zählt streng genommen auch als OC).
Ein anderer Rezesent hat hier negative Stimmung gemacht bezüglich OC auf diesem Board. Ich kann das weder abstreiten noch bestätigen. Ich brauche die CPU nicht übertakten, denn die 7820X CPU ist bisher mit allem fertig gewordem, womit ich sie beauftragt habe... und da war noch viel Platz nach oben.

Unwichtiges Detail am Rande:
Bei meinem alten Board war beim Aufwachen aus dem StandBy/Sleep Modus immer ein massives Knacken in den Boxen zu hören, vermutlich eine kurze Spannungsspitze im Audio-Modul. Das ist bei diesem Board nicht mehr der Fall.
