I mounted mine to a 1.5” pole and then to a weatherproof box which was screwed to the side of my house and RV garage.

Installation Instructions for extending the signal from one point to another. I needed Wi-Fi in my RV garage which is about 150’ from my house. I was only getting 1 bar (if that) from my house Wi-Fi. It is unknown how the one on the RV garage will hold up in the Idaho summer. It faces south so it will get heated a lot.

The instructions are pretty straight forward for AP. They are in China, so tech support is not super fast, buty they are responsive. Make sure that your SSID is different than your router SSID or you may run into some security issues. Having a different SSID fixed that issue for me. It must be mounted to a pole or 1 1/2" PVC pipe (i mounted it to a PVC pipe bolted to my house). It's secured with a worm gear clamp. No issue there, just be aware. They sell a mounting bracket sep. for about 20 bucks, but I wanted to be more flush with my wall. Otherwise, it does what I need it to do.

I am reviewing the product "UeeVii WiFi 6 Outdoor WiFi Extender with Bracket,AX3000 2.4G 5.8G Wireless Access Point" on 22 January, 2024.

I was very pleased to find this wireless access point that seems to have been designed from the ground up to be deployed outdoors. I have a large backyard, and I could never get a wifi signal from the house to serve the entire area. The UeeVii model I received suits this use case perfectly.

Proudly sporting an IP67 rating, the weatherproofing details on this device are evident. The body is covered in a rubber-like skin, and all the ports are recessed, and have screw caps to keep moisture out. I've been using it in our California winter rainstorms for several months now and it just keeps on ticking. 2 omnidirectional antennae are mounted high atop the case, and can be detached if an alternate mounting arrangement fits your network better. Mounting hardware is helpfully included -- I was able to mount the access point to a round pipe using the worm screw hardware, and it's been securely fastened there ever since.

Performance is top-notch, as expected from a Wifi 6 access point, and setup was -- well, about the same as any access point. Not exactly easy-breezy, but not uncommonly difficult either. If you've installed a network infrastructure device before, this will be familiar territory.

I am now enjoying high-speed wifi all the way back to the end of my property, with the peace of mind of knowing the device providing the access is ready to take on whatever Mother Nature can sling.

I live on a small farm on a Caribbean island and bought these to replace an ad-hoc collection of wired access points installed over the years. I'm an electrical engineer with considerable computer experience. I found that the UeeVii APs worked well and were easy to set up. In fact, they were too easy for someone like me who expected to have to do a lot more than follow the instructions. When I finally just carefully followed the instructions everything worked fine. One thing I found confusing at first is the considerable time that the mesh takes to organize itself, and the lack of any obvious indication that it has finished. But if you just wait patiently the remote nodes will begin working. After the first two APs worked well I ordered four more to complete my mesh.

Update 9 Feb 24: I have a mesh of 5 nodes working well with phones and tablets. Streaming video to a PC has occasional pauses. Setting the power levels to 500mW or less seems to help so I suspect overheating in the afternoon sun.

Opening windows isn't a great way to extend your WiFi signal to the rest of your property. If you need more coverage, more access points are the way to go.

The UeeVii is a great package for this. It's designed for outdoor use, with an IP67 waterproof rating. The enclosure is very heavy and feels like it will hold up, but it's white plastic and I suspect that ultraviolet from the sun will yellow and weaken it in a few years.

It supports WiFi 6 as well as earlier standards, so it should be compatible with all of your devices, and for those that support the WiFi 6 standard, you'll be able to achieve much higher speeds. Both copper 1G and SFP ports are available through a water resistant gland for connection to your network. Power is provided by 48 V POE - a power injector is included in the package. The SFP port supports 2.5Gb networks, so it's great if you need higher throughput, and of course it's best to connect with fiber if you're running the circuit outside a building. Copper in that situation can result in static, lightning, or ground loop damage, so the SFP port is a real benefit.

If you haven't updated your network in awhile, the UeeVii WiFi Extender may have better security than your current access points, as it supports WPA3. Setup is not difficult, but if you're not familiar with setting up WiFi networks, or need this to work with existing networks, you may want some assistance.

Overall this has a powerful signal and great coverage. It's rugged and weatherproof. Follow best practices for power and connection and it should give good service.
