Bought this Ram to double up what was previously in my daughter’s gaming laptop. After testing it on a various style of games. We saw a tremendous difference in loading, and smoothness coming from the Lenovo Legion laptop. I couldn’t have been more happier with this purchase. Oh and we still have room to go even higher, later in the laptop if we need to.

My biggest gripe (which is for all laptop memory with heat spreaders) is about the heat spreaders being on the same side for both modules. I would prefer that a kit comes with the heat spreaders on opposite or both sides because it may or may not be healthy for a PCB to have heat dissipating directly towards the motherboard. I'd prefer both heat spreaders to releasing heat towards the bottom cover for the laptop.

In any case this memory works as expected. I was expecting a 20% boost moving from a single channel configuration and this memory did its job. It has a slightly lower/faster cas latency which isn't really all that noticeable but it is nice knowing that it operates just a smidge quicker.

doubled my memory write speed from OEM but thats about it, bought for the cl20 but it doesnt work at that speed without XMP 2.0 apparently, just getting 21-21-21-48 and no way to force other timing in my laptop's BIOS, kinda disappointed, might have got something else if the description was a bit more clear about that.

upped from 2star to 4, 2 stars was unreasonable for the above as i was still butthurt over the discovery and it was kinda my fault for being to quick with my shopping instead of diving into spec sheets and back alley of the internet forum posts. overall i am happy with the purchase, it was not horribly expensive and the doubled write speed has greatly enhanced system performance over the OEM RAM.
