BRAND NEW OEM GE/Genteq ICP/Heil/Tempstar/Comfort Maker/Sears/Arcoaire 2-Speed Condenser FAN MOTOR. The part # is 1172252 (also HC39GZ003A & GE # 5KCP39KFZ224S). It's 1/4 HP, 208-230v, 840 RPM. The motor is 5 5/8" in diameter (Frame 48Y). The shaft extends 1.75" out of the motor. If the shaft is facing up (as in the picture) rotation is COUNTER-CLOCKWISE. The motor has a 4 wires going into a plastic plug- you can use or cut off the plug.

The original 4 mounting screws are10-32 SAE and come with oversized face knurled locking nuts that do not require a lock washer. This made in china version
1. Is made with smaller 8-32 SAE THREAD MOUNTING STUDS .
So you have to go buy correct nuts in stainless steel (does not come with any) that have a nylon locking feature and since they are tiny use a fender washer for support. Tighten carefully by torque to not strip threads and use blue lock tinted thread locker. The plastic top cover won’t work because it was made to snap on the original oversized 10-32 nuts , so use double stick tape.
2. It does have the correct wiring plug for a two speed motor although only high speed is used By the system, so no change, just plug in to existing socket and reuse protective sheath.
3. Be careful to note how harness was routed through an upending over a protective foam pad and don’t pinch wires installing the big top cover or could make a dangerous short to 240 volts.
4. You should replace the old open 24v thermostat contractor, with the new sealed. one that controls the 240v to the compressor and fan, the crush connector screw on the compressor/ fan side can be removed to swap the old spade lug screw and receptacle from the old unit if it is in good shape since the existing Heil connections to the fan use a spade lug on the side of the contractor .and the compressor wire uses a crimped/solder horseshoe type lug instead of crushed open wires with a tapered head crush screw like on the input side of the contractor.

When shipped the bolts were bent because the motor was not secured in the box. The bolts that came with this motor did not work for us we had to buy $8.00 worth of nuts and bolts to install. The motor has worked great the company would have replaced the bent bolts but since they were not long enough we chose not to have them replace them
