Outperformed Conservative Yield Estimates
IMPORTANT: Look at the image attached below of the 83X and 83A boxes. If your printer isn't listed on the 83X box (near the bottom of the white section), do NOT purchase this cartridge. As many other reviews have stated, these are not fully interchangeable. Please be CERTAIN that your printer will fit this toner before purchasing, or at the very least check it immediately after receiving the toner so you don't slip past the return date. Don't pay attention to what Amazon says in the "Frequently Purchased With..." section.I'm using an HP LaserJet Pro MFP M225dw. With that said, this high yield toner has worked great for me. I'm a PhD student and I print a lot of academic articles for research and classes, so my printer sees a lot of action. The image I've attached shows my most recent toner cartridge at the end of its life. The official estimate is 2,200 pages, but as you can see I've printed 2,751 out of this particular cartridge (as of this report) giving me about 550 more pages than expected. Up to this point, all pages printed with crisp black text and showed no fading. Shortly after printing this report, the toner started fading, so I put my actual output from this cartridge at approximately 2,775. The last time I used the normal CF283A cartridge, I believe my yield was around 1,600 pages, so for my personal comparison I was able to get approximately 1,000 more pages from the CF283X. The toner was installed for four months and worked brilliantly the entire time.Overall, great buy. Yes, it's more expensive than the generic "compatible" cartridges, but I consider genuine HP to be worth the price.

I find the toner cartridge easy to replace and easy to install. The print quality is one of the best I’ve had in terms of the printer and cartridge, and they work smooth together. This cartridge lasts me an average of about 10 months, but I don’t often print photos and I don’t print everything. The high yield cartridge costs more upfront, but the price per print means the value for the money is a better deal.
The high yield is perfect for my needs as a teacher, parent, college student, and printing recipes.

I have bought these refills now three times, and am never disappointed in quality and yield. I specially buy the high yield so I have to change toner less often, plus it reduces waste even though I recycle used toner cartridges.Reviewed in the United States on January 24, 2020
