Worked, but not worth paying for the name
ACDelco is not what it used to be. This product clearly stated "Mide in China" (Mide - not made) on the side of the box and nothing other than the box had ACDelco markings. I was looking for the oil pressure sending unit for my '87 GMC Jimmy. The parts houses only had ones that were a larger diameter than the OEM part that didn't have enough clearance on the block and wouldn't fit the orignial protective cover. ACD listed a different part for 87-88. It worked but was still a larger diameter than original and wouldn't fit the cover.

Could not find this part at any auto parts store in town. So glad I found it here.

I looked specifically for the AC Delco brand and thought it would be a good replacement. However, at around 10 months after installing, the sender started leaking. At first I thought it was leaking at the threads, but it turned out to be leaking internally or something, the threads sealed fine since they are tapered. I did keep it on for another year or so, and while the oil pressure readings are accurate, the leak started to show up on the driveway and I had to change it out. For $25 bucks I thought it would be worth it to get the AC delco, but this is not a quality part, and it seems I am not the only one who shares that opinion.

Had inaccurate oil pressure reading with BWD sensor and switched to this and it’s accurate. Hooked a pressure guage up for comparison and it’s dead on! Had changed circuit board and guage in dash and reading was off until i switched to this. Hope this helps!

Purchased a year ago but only installed 6 months ago. Blew a seal on the inside and started pouring oil out. luckily i was very close to home and already heading there otherwise i would be looking for a new engine. Picture shows 15 seconds of run time.
