During the development process of Wilson Combat AR-15 rifles in .458 SOCOM we have determined that a properly modified Lancer L5AWM magazine is the most reliable feeding device for the widest variety of ammunition. These Lancer 5.56 L5AWM magazine feed lips have been carefully modified in our shop to hold the .458 SOCOM higher in the tube which allows the use of a wider variety of projectile shapes. We also cut a deeper clearance at the front of the magazine body to allow the big SOCOM case to better clear the magazine during the feeding cycle.
