Thanks Shaun and Yuletide felicitations to you too.

About time for something different to chug along in the background, which is coincidental as I'm thinking of creating this as a background to photograph vehicles on.

Work has started on the constituent parts for the diorama. First step on the Panzer I.
Image
The kit figures are being painted alongside the selected Airfix figures.
Image
The Airfix figures were painted a long time ago, probably in enamels, and are in need of a re-paint. This time they'll be as 10th Panzer Grenadier Regiment, France, 1940.

I have selected 20 of the Esci 222 set to represent the 1st US Sharpshooters, 1862. They were also known as Berdan’s Sharpshooters, and wore standard cut uniforms, but dyed green.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the diorama turns out, especially the transformation of the rabble!
I have a few of the Airfix resin buildings and really need to put them to use...
Best wishes

Looks like the components for a good early war dio there, Ratch. Those Airfix buildings look good and have plenty of potential for diorama or wargames use.

Indeed those resin buildings are good. I recall them being released but have never acquired any, for some reason or another, which I should rectify as I do like to build a bit of braille scale armour amongst the 1/35th stuff.

Good Lord Ratch, that's an amazing output for one year! There must be more figures than I've ever painted, let alone in one year
You always manage a great variety of subjects too so your bench is never a dull place to visit!

Happy New Year 🎉🍻

Some of them are currently greatly reduced in price on the Airfix website Shaun; go on, you know you want to! 😉
Best wishes
