At the National Economic Achievements Exhibition in 1974, MAZ-7310 was first publicly displayed. And began production in 1976.

The MAZ-7310 can be used in series with the four-wheel drive MAZ-8385 trailer to form a total of 205.5 meters of land trains, mainly used for oil field surveys in Siberia and as military heavy-duty tractors at the Air Force Base. Used to replace the previous MAZ-543 variant, the MAZ-7310 variant includes the MAZ-7510 truck, the heavy-duty airport fire truck AA-60 (7310)-160.01 (1978) and the KS-5573 (1981) heavy-duty crane.

AA-60 (7310)-160.01 heavy-duty airport fire trucks were used to fight fires at military and civilian airports, including aviation fuel tank fires, aircraft production assembly materials, and other types of fires at airports.
