FULL CHAMPIONSHIP RELEASE
CLEARWATER, Fla. – The Saint Leo men's and women's swimming teams opened the 2023 Sunshine State Conference Championships Wednesday with strong performances. Both Saint Leo teams had fourth place finishes in their respective events with the men's team securing a spot at Nationals with their time during Day One of the SSC Championships.
The session featured one event, the 800 Freestyle Relay.
The quartet of
Lucas Mineur,
Szymon Leszega,
Devin Green, and
Carlos Nava made the cut for nationals with their time of 6:35.08.
On the women's side the team of Vanda Voroshazy,
Elze Bielskute,
Isabelle Sering, and
Vittoria Bonsanti Feniello placed fourth with their time of 7:34.81.
