The Cisco Packet Voice Digital Signal Processor Modules empower Cisco ISR 4000 Series to give rich-media capacities, for example, secure voice for Cisco Unified Communications, translating, media advancement, high-density voice network, conferencing, transcoding, and arrangements. These new modules bolster exceptional scale while taking into account a reduced office and environmental footprint.

The motherboard PVDMs are bolstered on all Cisco 4000 Series ISRs. They can be connected straightforwardly to the single space on the switch motherboard or into the system interface module that supports T1/E1 ports. A PVDM4 module connected to the motherboard conveys IP-based voice administrations, for example, conferencing, media streamlining, and transcoding only.
