The entirely smart home D-Link ecosystem allows you to keep an eye on the things you consider most. With the latest mydlink app, you’ll get to control and add multiple cameras, sensors, and smart plugs throughout your home. Doing so will trigger excellent automation however you want.
The company definitely ensured convenience for every user since the mydlinkapp allows for rapid yet simple Bluetooth setups.
With the app, you can easily create then customise up to a total of 4 independent motion detection areas. This will be in your camera view, thus, providing alerts when something moves around the area of interest.
Through the app, you can set a virtual trip-wire then get alerts if anyone ends up crossing the line.
From the application, you can manage the Priority Zones section. This is where you can prioritise and focus on sensitive areas in your home. Setting up and managing the feature will make it easier to detect if someone crossed in/out of the zone.
Let’s start off with the camera’s video quality which is something we consider great. When we tried it at night, we received clear, quality videos despite the range of 7 or so metres.
During the day, the DCS-8302LH still gave us a clear and crisp view of the covered area. For its two-way audio, we were able to remotely communicate using the phone app, which was easy. It worked well and was pretty convenient as well.
When it comes to the AI feature, it was entirely efficient. During the tests we made, we only acquired relevant notifications and didn’t experience any false alarm, which is very good.
Other than excellent video quality, two-way communication’s sound quality was good. It was all clear, unlike the other security cameras that we’ve tried out.
As for the voice commands, these were highly snappy and responsive. Even if we utilised Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant, everything was great.
Overall, the DCS-8302LH Outdoor WiFi Camera performed excellently, and its video and sound quality were superb. No issues occurred when we tried it out, and it’s something we’d use for added home security.
