Fixen, Guedy, and Maurer Named SSC Players of the Week

MELBOURNE, Florida - Two Embry-Riddle women's lacrosse players and one Embry-Riddle men's tennis player were named weekly award winners by the Sunshine State Conference on Monday. Aubrye Fixen (Women's Lacrosse - Defensive), Alexis Guedy (Men's Tennis), and Anna Maurer (Women's Lacrosse - Offensive) all claimed SSC Player of the Week accolades, with Fixen grabbing her second career weekly honor.

Fixen, a native of Palos Verdes, California, made 27 saves in ERAU's two SSC games last week, including 14 in Saturday's win over No. 13 Lynn. Fixen has now recorded 110 saves this season, the most in program history, and with the win on Saturday, registered her 11th victory of the year, also a program single-season record.

Maurer had a day to remember on Saturday, totaling 10 assists, a new program record while tying a Sunshine State Conference record for a single game. The Longmeadow, Massachusetts native also broke the ERAU women's lacrosse single season assist record (27) and career assist record (65) on Saturday. For the week, Maurer tallied 13 points on 11 assists and two goals.

Guedy, a graduate student from Boulogne, France, helped the Eagles to a 2-0 week with a pair of SSC wins over No. 25 Florida Southern and Palm Beach Atlantic. Guedy teamed with Luke Paschal to notched doubles victories over Matteo Feggi and Chris Fok Kow of FSC, 7-6 (7-4) and Blake Williams and Marko Visontai of PBA, 7-6 (7-3). Guedy also went 2-0 at No. 1 singles, notching wins over FSC's Fok Kow (6-1, 6-3), and PBA's Binaghi (6-0, 6-7 (6-8), 10-8).
