    Clinical Introduction

    A 29-year-old man presented to the emergency department with chronic right wrist pain and numbness of the radial three digits after falling off his bicycle 5 months previously.

    He was unable to make a full fist with clinical rupture of the flexor tendons of the middle, ring and little fingers. He was referred for antero-posterior (AP) and lateral X-rays of his wrist (figures 1 and 2).
